Economic Strategy of the Developed Countries of the World during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The outbreak caused by Covid-19 had dreadful results even in the first quarter in many countries in the world. To avoid the spreading of the virus, the world’s developed countries’ governments made the decision to lock almost every kind of industry, which were functioning in their countries. The mass lockdown of businesses all around the world was the reason for the economic crisis. For relief and support businesses, the world’s developed countries’ governments made the decision to create business support programs. The main goal of the formulated programs was to maintain jobs and give an opportunity to small and middle businesses to continue functioning. Programs also were aimed to help employees who lost their jobs.
The program formulated by the Canadian government turned out very effective. The main economists of the country have used all the tools owned by their hands to avoid declining of the economy of their country. Their aim was to maintain the economy to the point where from would be possible to continue functioning and get back as soon as possible.
The government formulated the program, according to the program the government was giving weekly 500% to each person, who lost a job, or whose income declined, or there were other criteria, which was suited the program. The government was helping the people who had no jobs and did not have any income during the outbreak period.
Also, the government had decided to cut it in half or completely cancel all the taxes on companies. This was huge support for the companies got from the government. Besides this, according to the program, the government subsided 75% of the salary of employees for the companies, which did not fire their employees during the outbreak period.
The program was very effective for companies functioning in Canada because, throughout the program, small and middle-size companies were able to get low percent loans to maintain their businesses. The budget of the country during the outbreak period was distributed by the priorities. The governmental priorities were: agriculture, fishing, culture, sport, energy, transport, and infrastructure.
The government has established special supporting programs for the business industries which were damaged the most during the outbreak period. These industries were tourism, hotel business, entertainment business, and restaurant business.
The damage that the U.S.A had due to the outbreak was immense. The government formulated an economic program, which priority also was supporting small and middle-sized businesses.
The U.S.A as well as Canada paid much attention to the citizens which have lost their jobs. The government was giving weekly 300$. The program was continuing until 6 September 2021.
In the U.S.A each state has its own government, which was committed to formulate economic programs. Each state government created its own economic program, which was suitable for the needs of the state and for the need of the small and middle-sized companies functioning in the current state.
The government of the U.S.A was paying finances even to the persons, who were self-employed or they were getting their income from the internet.
According to the governmental program, there was a 16 billion dollar grant for the companies, which were functioning in Covid active states.
The starting point of the outbreak was China. This was a country which was expected to get the most damage, but the economic program which was established by talented economists was so effective that the outbreak was used to improve their positions in the field of economy.
The aim of the government was to maintain the liquidity of the market, and the availability of capital and financial resources. To achieve this aim the government decided to simplify the financing of micro business. The public bank of China was giving loans to startups even in the active period of the Covid outbreak. In March of 2020 the ministry of Finances had allocated funds 110.48 billion Yen (16.87 billion dollars at the rate of 16.04.2021) to relieve the damage caused by the outbreak.
According to the program, the government was paying much attention to several industries such are: manufacturing, service, and retail sales. To support surviving the current small and middle-sized businesses the government declined the amount of taxes at the minimum level. Some of the business entities were free to pay taxes.
The government subsided the salary of employees in the states, which were extremely damaged by the outbreak. During the period when the world’s developed countries were locking down their economies, China had been opening its stock exchange. Related to the requirement of the government the businesses were paying much less for electricity and other natural resources. In March 2020 China has renewed air flying. The government started new infrastructural projects to support residential companies and create a convenient environment for investing.
The world is fighting against the Covid 19. The governments are trying to survive their economies because post pandemic period will be the time to take new positions on the global market.
